Britney Spears’ Broadway musical to close after 3 months
In less than one month, the curtains are set to close on the colorful and hits-laden Broadway production, "Once Upon a One More Time," otherwise known as the Britney Spears musical. The show is set to end its run on Sept. 3, having only opened on June 22.

Marietou Thiam's slender figure twists and twirls, suspended in mid-air by a hoop, under the spellbound gaze of onlookers at Dakar's first-ever circus festival.
Thiam is the artistic director -- and one of only two women members -- of Sencirk, Senegal's premier circus troupe, which organised the festival.

Parliament ratifies 4th judicial reform package, animal rights bill
Turkey's parliament approved a long-awaited bill early on July 9 on animal rights, while lawmakers on July 8 ratified the country's fourth judicial reform package.
According to the bill, the sale of cats and dogs by pet shops will be banned, as such shops are "not suitable for animal health and ethology."

'Nazi monkey' Appears in Russian Circus
Russian prosecutors have launched an investigation after a monkey wearing a Nazi uniform performed at a state circus.
The show also featured goats wrapped in Nazi flags with swastikas, according to the Russian news website Znak.
The performance was part of a show at the Udmurtia Circus in the city of Izhevsk on 8 January.
