Türkiye’s citrus exports hit $475 million in four months
Türkiye's citrus exports increased by 16 percent in January-April from a year ago to reach $475 million, according to Hayrettin Uçak, the president of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association.
Citrus exports surpassed the $1-billion mark for the first time in 2023, amounting to $1.1 billion.

Citrus exports exceed $1 billion in 2023
Türkiye exported $1.11 billion (34.5 billion Turkish Liras) worth of citrus products last year, the president of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association has said.
According to the statement made by the Aegean Exporters' Associations, exports of citrus products increased by 23 percent in 2023 compared to the previous year.

Cold snap grips orange orchards in Peloponnese
Icicles hang off oranges in an orchard in Argolida, in the northern Peloponnese, on Saturday morning following a cold snap. After plunging to -4 degrees Celsius (24.8 Fahrenheit) in the Argos Plain on Friday night, temperatures rose slightly over the weekend. It was unclear whether a series of cold snaps will create problems for citrus fruit harvests in the region.

Turkish ministry releases millions of bugs into forests to prevent harmful insects
The Forestry and Water Affairs Ministry has released millions of bugs into forests in a bid to prevent other harmful insects from damaging trees.
Different species of bugs were developed in a total of 51 laboratories formed by the ministry, before around 13 million "terminator bugs" were released into nature, daily Habertürk reported on June 30.
