The Athens Concert Hall presents the Academy of St Martin in the Fields led by Murray Perahia on Sunday, December 4. The British ensemble will perform Beethoven's Coriolan Overture, Op 62, Piano Concerto No 2, Op 19, and Piano Concerto No 4, Op 58. Starts at 8.30 p.m. Admission ranges from 16 to 60 euros.
Carmina Burana | Athens | November 26
Soprano Myrsini Margariti, counter tenor Nikos Spanatis, baritone Charis Andrianos and the Camerata Orchestra perform Carl Orff's popular "Carmina Burana" at the Athens Concert Hall on Saturday, November 26. Joining them on stage are several choirs, including the ERT and the City of Athens choirs. The ensembles are led by maestro George Petrou.

Ernani opera on stage in Turkey 170 years on
Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi's "Ernani" opera, which was first staged in Turkey in 1846 at the Naum Theater by Italian artists, will be staged once again for the first time in 170 years.
According to a statement issued by the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, the first performance will be given on Nov. 26 at the Süreyya Opera Theater in Kadıköy,

Mozart's lost work to be performed in Turkey
The seventh International Şefika Kutluer Festival, organized under the name of internationally acclaimed Turkish flutist Şefika Kutluer, known as the Magic Flute, will be held from Dec. 2 to 20 in Istanbul and Ankara.

Fazıl Say to receive Beethoven Prize in Bonn
The Beethoven Prize 2016, one of the world's most prestigious awards given by the Bonn-based Beethoven Academy, is to be presented to Turkey's internationally acclaimed pianist Fazıl Say next month.
Say will receive the prize at a ceremony on Dec. 17 at the Kreuzkirche in Bonn, and will perform Aşık Veysel's "Kara Toprak" at the award ceremony.

Nikos Skalkottas Tribute | Athens | November 23

Pianist-composer Stefanos Korkolis performs works by Mikis Theodorakis at the Ianos bookstore in central Athens on Saturday, November 12.
