Turkish Y?ld?zlar Toplulu?u Orchestra, which is made up of Turkish stars who are undergoing their musical education abroad in footsteps of acclaimed composers such as Ahmet Adnan Saygun, Ulvi Cemal Erkin, Cemal Re?it Rey, Hasan Ferit Alnar, Necil Kaz?m Akses, will take the stage at Istanbul's CRR Concert Hall in April 21. 

Within the scope of the Minik Eller Büyük Hayaller (Small Hands Big Dreams) Platform's Anatolia Orff Music Education project, the Orff Schulwerk approach, developed by German composer Carl Orff, will be brought to Anatolia.

The head of the Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation's (MKE) weapons factory, Mustafa Tanr?verdi, was arrested on April 7 in Ankara after allegedly trying to sell weapon designs to a U.S. company.

Organized by the Sevda-Cenap And Music Foundation, the 33rd International Ankara Music Festival will open on April 4. Turkish cultural authorities have announced the creation of a classical music festival to promote Göbeklitepe, one of the world's most important archaeological sites on the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with performances set for Istanbul and the eastern province of ?anl?urfa. 

The Bulgarian capital will host the 16th edition of the European Music Festival, which will last between March 28 and June 8.

The festival will begin with a concert by prominent Israeli violinist and conductor Shlomo Mintz who will perform at Bulgaria Concert Hall at 19:30 o'clock (EET) on Monday.

A long-lost musical composition by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri was found tucked away in the collection of the Czech national museum.

“It’s a joint composition by Mozart and Salieri, a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte put to music,” Sarka Dockalova, the museum’s spokeswoman, told AFP.

Hosting two world premieres and one Turkey premiere, the 44th Istanbul Music Festival will feature 26 concerts across 17 venues, comprising symphony and chamber orchestras, recitals, and various special projects The 44th Istanbul Music Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), will take place between June 1 and 24.

The Akbank Sanat Guitar Days concert series will come to an end on Jan. 30, but not before two concerts featuring well-known international guitar composers.
