To Potami releases list of representatives on policy issues

To Potami on Friday announced the names of the 51 people who will represent the centrist party launched by journalist Stavros Theodorakis earlier this year on a range of policy issues.

The party said that all had “served with distinction in the private sector” and that they would be responsible for presenting To Potami’s positions in the media.

Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra begins US tour

BELGRADE - The first U.S. tour of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra began by a concert held in the Chicago Symphony Center.

The presentation of the orchestra on the U.S. cultural scene is the crown of the institution's development to date and it opens a new page in the 91 years' long history of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, states the release.

Potami leader says party open to cooperation after next elections

Stavros Theodorakis, the leader of centrist To Potami, said on Friday that his party is prepared to work with whoever wins the next general elections.

“We are open to having discussions, when the time is right, with whoever the Greek people decide should govern the country,” said Theodorakis during a visit to the Thessaloniki International Fair.

Yo-Yo Ma to close İzmir Festival

The 28th International Ä°zmir Festival, organized by the Ä°zmir Foundation for Culture and Arts, will end on Sept. 3 with a concert by French-American cellist Yo-Yo Ma. The cellist, who has won 17 Grammy awards over the course of his career and who currently serves as an EU peace envoy, will be accompanied by the Silk Road Ensemble.
