US condemns attack on Turkish reporter in Pennsylvania

The U.S. State Department has condemned the attack on Turkish journalist Yunus Paksoy during a live broadcast in Pennsylvania.

The incident on June 1 took place near a farm believed to be the residence of Fetullah Gülen, the U.S.-based leader of FETÖ, the group behind the failed 2016 coup attempt in Türkiye.

Erdoğan Demirören remembered on his death anniversary

Prominent Turkish industrialist and businessman Erdoğan Demirören, who was the founder of Demirören Holding, which is one of Türkiye's largest conglomerates, has been commemorated on the fifth anniversary of his death.

On June 8, 2018, Demirören lost his life in a hospital in Istanbul, where he received treatment for respiratory failure for a while at the age of 80.

Demirören Media High School to give scholarship

Demirören Media High School, a vocational school that will train young journalists who will be well-equipped with skills to work in the media sector, will give scholarships to its successful students every month.

Scholarships will be given to students who score above a certain mark in the high school entrance exam (LGS).

Arrested Greek spy confesses activity in Türkiye: CNN Türk

Mohammed Amar Ampara, arrested on June 26 with a charge of "working for Greek intelligence service EYP," has confessed all his espionage activities inside Türkiye in his testimony, Turkish private national broadcaster CNN Türk has alleged.

According to the TV station, the Greek spy gave all information of his three contacts in the EYP to Turkish officers.
