Artist finds inspiration on remote Easter Island
Rapa Nui, the remote Chilean territory in the mid-Pacific widely known as Easter Island, is home to a Catholic church featuring artwork that reflects that islanders' ancestral culture as well as Christian beliefs. Among the eye-catching works are stained glass windows, created by a French-born artist, that portray figures resembling Rapa Nui's inhabitants.

Atacama Desert: The driest place on Earth hides a giant hand reaching for the sky

Volcano Villarrica Erupts in Chile
The Villarrica volcano erupted early on Tuesday morning, with lava and ashes reaching as far as 1,000 m into the sky, the BBC reported.
According to information of the Chilean police, after the red danger code was issued in Chile, over 3,400 people have been evacuated from the nearby towns of Pucon and Conaripe.
