Community of Serb Municipalities

The European Union special representative for the Serbia-Kosovo dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, told media in Belgrade on Friday that he and his EU and US colleagues felt "encouraged" after meeting Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. 

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic says the establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities in Kosovo-Metohija is a condition for a return of local Serbs to Pristina's institutions.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with the UK's special Western Balkans envoy Stuart Peach on Tuesday to inform him of Serbia's positions regarding the present situation in the region and, in particular, Kosovo-Metohija.

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said on Friday he had told US State Department Counsellor Derek Chollet no one in Serbia would accept an independence of Kosovo and that President Aleksandar Vucic was a key guarantor of peace and stability in the region, Serbia and Kosovo-Metohija.

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Wednesday she had neither good nor bad expectations from an upcoming visit by US State Department Counsellor Derek Chollet and only expected the US to deliver on a promise a Community of Serb Municipalities would be formed in Kosovo-Metohija.

Serbia "never shied away from difficult decisions" and made them when they were in the interest of its citizens, Prime Minister Ana Brnabi said in Kosovska Mitirovica, reacting to that letter.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabi said today during her visit to Kosovo and Metohija that Serbia will always be with its people in Kosovo and Metohija.
"We will continue to fight for our people, its dignity, and also to see prosperity and an increasingly better quality of life here in Kosovo and Metohija," said Prime Minister Brnabic.

"A meaningful and precise conversation with Ambassador Hill about the situation after the last round of talks in Brussels. I reiterated the consistent position of Serbia, which continues to make every effort to find a compromise solution to maintain peace and stability," wrote Vui on Instagram.
