Tesco supermarket warns on profit as inflation bites
Britain's biggest retailer Tesco yesterday warned that soaring inflation would bite into future profit, causing its share price to slide along with those of rival supermarkets.
Tesco said underlying profit was expected to drop in its current financial year after it jumped by more than one third in 2021/22.

British firm JD Sports, one of the strongest companies in the sporting goods sector globally, acquired 80% of the Greek sportswear chain Cosmos Sport, in which the EOS Capital Partners fund of Apostolos Tamvakakis had recently invested.
Britons' demand for travel to Turkey on rise
Britons eager to travel amid promising vaccination efforts against the coronavirus are expected to visit one of their favorite destinations - Turkey.
"Last year, Turkey's tourism sector saw a fall in tourist demand from the EU, but the UK remained out of this picture," Firuz Bağlıkaya, the head of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB), said Monday.
