Cyber crime unit releases figures of child porn, potential suicides cases
A total of 101 suspects have been arrested on charges of trading in child pornography over the past three years, according to figures submitted in Parliament by the head of the Greek Polices Cyber Crime Unit, Manolis Sfakianakis.

Officers of Greek polices cyber crimes unit on Friday detained a 36-year-old man alleged to have made sexual advances to minors over the Internet.
The suspect is believed to have used social networking websites to approach young girls and convince them to send him sexually explicit photographs of themselves which he is said to have shared with other web users.

Illegal gambling sites blocked amid World Cup fever
The Greek polices cyber crimes unit has blocked access in Greece to 23 illegal gambling sites that allowed users to bet on World Cup soccer matches.
Officers said that the sites servers were located outside Greece in places such as Britain, Belize, Austria, Malta, Panama, Russia and Israel and that they were breaking the countrys strict gambling laws.
Stamenkovic in Convention on Cybercrime Steering Committee

Int'l Police Operation Busts Bulgarian Credit Card Fraud Ring
Three people were arrested in Italy and four in Bulgaria in an operation aimed at intercepting a Bulgarian credit card fraud ring, according to Europol.
The arrests of the seven suspects last week were the result of an investigation of over one year.
