Turkey's economic confidence in August hits 3-year high
Turkey's economic confidence index hit a 39-month high of 100.8 this August, the country's statistical institute said on Aug. 27.

Chiefly driven by the services and construction confidence indices, the main reading improved 0.7% from July, Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data showed.
Consumer confidence further improves in June
Ljubljana – Consumer confidence in Slovenia further improved in June, as the relevant indicator was up by one percentage point compared to May and 12 points higher than in June 2020. It is also nine percentage points higher compared to last year’s average, the Statistics Office said on Tuesday.

SMEs confidence index jumps up
Small and medium-sized enterprises are experienced a surge of confidence in their economic prospects.
Research by National Bank of Greece on a sample of 1,160 firms with turnover of less than 10 million euros showed the confidence index jumping to a 10-year high of 18 in the first half of 2019, up from 13 in the second half of 2018.

Turkish economic confidence hits 2-year high
The Turkish Economic Confidence Index rose 1.1 percent to 100.5 points in May, hitting the highest level since November 2015, official data showed on May 26.
The economic confidence index thus advanced for the fourth straight month in May, after it tumbled to record lows in December 2016 and January 2017.

Poll: 52 pct of Romanians say anticorruption, intelligence agencies should have free hand in investigations
More than half of the Romanians (52 pct) believe that the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) and the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) should have "free hand in investigations, even if some rights and liberties are questioned," according to an opinion barometer by Avangarde released on Friday.

59% of voters backs Tsipras
According to a pole conducted by ALCO for the Greek newspaper “Podiki”, Greek majority favors and supports policy statements announced by the Greek Prime Minister.
67% of Greek citizens evaluate government policy statements as positive or very positive, 9% negative or very negative, 19% indicates indifferent, while 6% did not even respond.
