Turkish contractors undertook projects worth $6.5 bln in first half of 2021

The total worth of projects undertaken by Turkish contractors abroad hit $6.5 billion in the first half of 2021, according to a report released by the Turkish Contractors Association (TMB) on July 12.

Citing the Trade Ministry's data, the report said that Turkish construction firms undertook 100 projects in 33 countries by the end of June this year.

Petromidia Refinery blast/Fire started at gasoline hydrofining installation; pipe probably cracked

Rompetrol Refinery Director General Felix Crudu-Tesloveanu said on Friday that the fire at Petromidia started at the gasoline hydrofining installation and the ensuing blast generated three more outbreaks, with the probable cause being a cracked pipe. He said that the fire broke out on a platform where there is various industrial equipment and where five people were working.

Dan Barna: Planned National Agency for Health Infrastructure Investments does not add to bureaucracy

Deputy Prime Minister and USR PLUS Co-Chairman Dan Barna said today at the end of the meeting of the formation's National Bureau that the planned National Agency for Health Infrastructure Investments "does not add to bureaucracy" because it will be created by reorganizing an existing structure of the Health Ministry.

Total volume of construction works up by 5.7% in first 4 months

The volume of construction works has gone up by 5.7% as gross series during the first four months of the year, in comparison with the similar period of 2020, and as adjusted series, based on the number of working days and seasonality, by 2.1%, according to the data sent by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) to AGERPRES on Wednesday.
