World’s oldest person dies in Japan at 119
A Japanese woman certified the world's oldest person has died at the age of 119, local officials said Monday.
Kane Tanaka was born January 2, 1903, in the southwestern Fukuoka region of Japan, the same year the Wright brothers flew for the first time and Marie Curie became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize.

Indonesia's President Joko Widodo has ordered the police to shoot drug traffickers who resist arrest in the latest effort to eradicate drug use in the country.
In a speech to one of Indonesia's political parties late Friday, Widodo urged law enforcers to crackdown on drug dealers in Indonesia.
US bassist/singer Nik West to perform at Nisville
BELGRADE - US bassist/vocalist Nik West and her band will perform at the Nisville Jazz Festival on August 11.
Dubbed by the Eurythmics' Dave Stewart as the "female Lenny Kravitz", West, aged 25, has collaborated with some major names of the world's music scene, including Stewart, Prince, Marcus Miller and seven-time Grammy winner John Mayer.
