The Environment Ministry has approved a special urban planning scheme necessary for the relocation of Korydallos Prison - Greece's largest maximum-security penitentiary - in the Piraeus region to a new complex in Aspropyrgos, West Attica, covering 10.3 hectares.

A suspicious bag found right next to the home of the Korydallos Prison director in Dafni, central Athens, was declared harmless following an investigation by authorities.

According to Kathimerini, a resident of the same building spotted the bag and notified the police.

A festival in Messini took a bad turn when a brawl broke out among some attendees.
