UK Adds New Countries on Travel Ban Red List, See What They are

Travel from the Philippines, Pakistan, Kenya and Bangladesh is to be banned from next week, the government says.

They are being added to England's "red list" amid concerns about the spread of new Covid-19 variants.

From 04:00 on 9 April, international visitors who have travelled from or through those countries in the previous 10 days will be refused entry.

Two-month high of 1,558 new coronavirus cases confirmed

Ljubljana – Slovenia confirmed 1,558 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, the highest daily figure since 2 February, as the share of positive tests continued to climb, exceeding 21% for the first time since mid-February, the latest government data show. Seven people with Covid-19 died.

One year since first COVID-19 case reported in Turkey

It has been one year since Turkey's Health Minister announced in the early hours of March 11 the first confirmed COVID-19 case in the country that immediately launched its uphill battle against the virus, which has infected more than 2.8 million people and killed over 29,000 patients to date.

The first death from the virus was confirmed on March 17.

Ljubljana – It is one year to the day since the first infection with the novel coronavirus was confirmed in Slovenia. More than 192,000 have been confirmed since, and almost 3,900 persons have died of Covid-19. Slovenia has been in the state of epidemic for 60% of the time, with many restrictions remaining in force.
