Kosovo is the country with the largest share of receiving at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine in the Western Balkans. The country, which later launched mass immunization, quickly caught up, but also surpassed the former leader, Serbia, and Northern Macedonia and Montenegro, which managed to speed up their campaign in the summer, according to data from the Our World in Data platform.

Turkey has lowered the COVID-19 vaccination eligibility age to 30, the health minister announced on June 19.

Turkey will administer 30 million doses of the Pzifer/BioNTech vaccines to 30 million people in June, the country's health minister has said.
The country is expected to receive those doses at the end of May or in early June.
Turkey grants emergency authorization to Russia's Sputnik V vaccine
Turkey's official Medicines and Medical Devices Agency said on April 30 that Turkey has granted emergency use authorization to Russia's Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine.
"Emergency use of Sputnik V vaccine was approved following the assessments and evaluations by our Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency," Fahrettin Koca said on Twitter.
