COVID-19 vaccination in India

The number of COVID-19 vaccine jabs given in Turkey has topped 110 million since an immunization campaign was launched in January, official figures showed on Oct. 2. 

Nearly 54 million people have received their first shots, while more than 44.8 million have been fully vaccinated, according to the Health Ministry.

The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) on Tuesday announced that the efficacy of its Covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was confirmed at 97.8 per cent among over 81,000 people.

The acquisition of permission to use the Sputnik V vaccine in the EU goes in accordance with the schedule, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said.

Romania's National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV) has reported that in the last 24 hours, 41,554 doses of vaccine were administered, of which 28,383 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, 2,648 of the Moderna vaccine, 1,413 of the AstraZeneca vaccine and 9,110 of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Slovakia will start vaccinating with the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against Covid-19.

Only over 5,000 Slovaks showed interest in this product by registering for the vaccination system, although at the beginning of March the country had already imported the first consignment of Sputnik V for 100,000 people.

Russia may open for vaccine tourism starting July, Chief Executive Officer of Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday.

"Russia may open for vaccine tourism starting July," he said.
