African cinema 'could create 20 mln jobs'
Africa's film industry is thriving and could create many millions of extra jobs if its potential was fully exploited, the United Nations said on Oct. 5.
In a report, the U.N. cultural organization UNESCO said that an estimated five million people currently work in Africa's film industry, which contributes $5 billion to the continent's GDP.

Center for Creative and Recreational Industries Opens Doors in Varna
Mobile apps and games development center, publishing center, scientific space and laboratories will be built in Varna. They will be part of the Center for Creative and Recreational Industries, which will work in the sea capital.

Bulgaria's Movie Industry Posts Highest Growth in Europe
Bulgaria's movie industry grew by 88.1% between 2008 and 2010, which is the highest growth among the European countries, shows a survey on the economy of the creative sector.
The survey of the Observatory of economy of culture shows that the sector of creative and cultural industry in Bulgaria is developing rapidly, in spite the general economic downturn.
