A Pakistani regional police chief increased on May 12 the death toll from an attack on a luxury hotel to five people, which he said did not include four gunmen killed by security forces.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry late on Jan. 9 condemned the suicide blast in the southwestern Balochistan province in Pakistan that has left seven people dead and 15 others injured.

At least 72 people have been killed and 200 others wounded in a suicide bomber attack in front of a park in Lahore, Pakistan.

Christians were celebrating Easter in the crowded park at the time of the attack. A terrorist group that claimed responsibility on Monday confirmed they were the target.

Taliban gunmen stormed a Pakistani Air Force base early on Sept.18, killing at least 17 people, a military spokesman said, the deadliest attack on a military installation this year. 

Pakistani police killed the leader of the sectarian militant group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, his two sons and 11 others on July 29 in a shootout after gunmen attacked a police convoy and freed him as he was being moved, police said.
