Pupovac: ICJ judgment should be used to improve relations

ZAGREB - The leader of the Serb National Council (SNV) and an MP in the Croatian Sabor Milorad Pupovac said Tuesday that as the International Court of Justice (ICJ) dismissed Croatia's and Serbia's mutual genocide claims, the issue should no longer hinder the relations between the two countries.

Nikolic: ICJ ruling confirmed mass crime against Serbs

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said Tuesday that Croatia had failed to prove that the Serbian side had any intent to commit genocide during the 1991/95 war in Croatia, but on the other hand, even though Serbia's counter-claim had been rejected, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) had found that Croatia had committed a mass crime against Serbs.

ICJ Rejects Genocide Claims of Croatia, Serbia

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled on Tuesday that Croatia and Serbia had not committed genocide against each other during the Croatian War of Independence (1991-1995).

In 1999 Croatia filed a claim against Serbia on alleged violations of the 1948 Genocide Convention, committed during the wars in former Yugoslavia, particularly at the siege of Vucovar in 1991.
