Croatian Airlines to Operate Flights to Sofia and Podgorica
Croatia Airlines launches flights from the Croatian capital Zagreb to Sofia, Bulgaria and Podgorica, Montenegro in May, according to the business portal for monitoring the global Routes Online, quoted by BGNES.
Aegean breaks passenger traffic record
Greece's largest carrier Aegean Airlines flew 15 million passengers last year, a record for the 20-year old airline, and boosted its load factor, it said on Friday.
Aegean, a member of the Star Alliance airline group, said overall passenger traffic grew 7 percent in 2019 with its load factor increasing to 84.8 percent from 83.9 percent a year earlier.

Aegean tables bid for Croatia Airlines
Greece's largest carrier Aegean Airlines has expressed interest in the privatization of Croatia Airlines and submitted a non-binding bid, it said on Friday.
Aegean, a member of the Star Alliance group, said any decision on whether it would take part in the next phase of the state-owned Croatian carrier's privatization would be taken in the coming months.

Turkish Airlines passenger numbers up in January-May
The total number of passengers carried by Turkish Airlines rose 19.4 percent annually from January to May, the airline said on June 8.
Dubrovnik welcomes new Turkish Airlines route
Turkish Airlines' new Dubrovnik route will be the "beginning of a new story" for Turkey and Croatia, the Balkan city's mayor has said.
Mayor Andro Vlahusic told Anadolu Agency that the new Turkish Airlines route is another door that opens Turkey to Europe.

World Bank To Help Croatia Privatize Airline
Croatia's maritime, transport and infrastructure ministry has signed a contract with the World Bank to find a strategic partner to privatize or recapitalize the struggling state-owned company Croatia Airlines.
Transport minister Sinisa Hajdas Doncic confirmed the agreement on Tuesday.
