28 refugees detected on Island of Ros
Greek coast guard authorities detained a 19-year-old foreign human trafficker who reportedly transported 28 refugees to the island of Ros in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. The 29 refugees (including the trafficker) were spotted on the island by a FRONTEX vessel which transported them to the island of Kastellorizo.

91 migrants arrive on Aegean islands in past 48 hours
A total of 90 migrants and refugees have arrived on the eastern Aegean island of Lesvos in the past 48 hours, authorities said Thursday, adding that two suspects have been arrested on human trafficking charges.
A single arrival has been recorded on Chios over the same period, authorities said.

EU scraps mobile roaming charges within bloc
The bill to abolish mobile roaming charges within the European Union has passed the final vote. The law allowing EU citizens to call, text or surf the net without paying any extra charges will come into force on June 15th.
After months of discussions, the European Parliament and Commission will sign the bill in May.

EC Criticizes Bulgaria Over Accepting Few Immigrants
In an EC report on the implementation of the quota for resettlement of migrants Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovakia have been criticized over accepting few of those wanting asylum.
The report states that Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Croatia, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia have not yet welcomed any Syrian refugees according to the agreement with Turkey, quoted by BNR.
Brussels tells Poland, Hungary to take in migrants or face legal action
The European Union's executive stepped up pressure on Poland and Hungary on April 12 to take in asylum seekers under the bloc's migration plan or risk legal action if their reluctant governments refuse.
EP Approves Visa-Free Travel For Ukrainians

The European Parliament has approved visa liberalization for Ukraine, a crucial step toward enabling Ukrainians to travel to the European Union without obtaining visas.
The measure passed on April 6 by a vote of 521 to 75, with 36 EU lawmakers abstaining, RFE/RL reports.
