Fire in Serifos: All-night battle with the flames & winds – Reinforcements from Athens & Syros (video-photos)
An overnight battle with flames is being fought by firefighters in Serifos as the fire that broke out on Saturday afternoon (29/6) in low vegetation in the Livadi area remains ongoing.
Four firefighters with one vehicle are operating at the scene, as well as water trucks from the municipality.
Wildfire breaks out on Serifos island
A wildfire is raging uncontrolled on the island of Serifos, aided by strong winds.
The fire erupted around 6 p.m. Saturday and is burning mostly low growth so far.

77 migrants rescued from vessel between Amorgos and Astypalea
A group of 77 migrants were rescued off a crippled sailing yacht after a large overnight operation in the southern Aegean Sea, Greek authorities have said.
Nobody was reported missing or injured following the rescue between the islands of Amorgos and Astypalea, the coast guard said.
