EU to Probe Montenegrin Watchdog's Use of Grant
The EU Enlargement Commission on Monday said the EU delegation in Podgorica would monitor implementation of a grant given to the NGO MANS, following complaints by the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists, DPS.
"As a grant recipient, MANS is responsible for implementing the project in accordance with the applicable national law," spokesperson Peter Stano said.

Montenegrin Editor's 2004 Murder Still Unsolved
Jovanović, editor-in-chief and owner of the daily Dan and well known for his critical reporting, was shot dead leaving his office in Podgorica on 27 May 2004. Prior to his death, Jovanović received numerous death threats.

Montenegro NGO and Ruling Party Duel Over Corruption
Months of verbal warfare between local watchdog MANS and Montenegro's ruling party Democratic Party of Socialists, DPS, ahead of May’s local elections in the capital, peaked on Wednesday with mutual accusations about scandals, abuse of state resources and corruption.
Montenegro Detains Six Over Journalist Attack
Montenegrin police said they had detained six men on Thursday, suspected of being involved in the attack on Lidija Jovanovic, a journalist from the opposition daily newspaper Dan.
"We have a contractor and financier, motive, organizers, helpers and the direct perpetrator of the attack," police said on Friday.
