David M. Satterfield

The United States' new ambassador to Turkey, Jeffrey Lane Flake, presented his credentials to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Jan. 26.

Flake, a former Republican senator, arrived in Turkey on Jan. 7 , replacing David Satterfield, who will serve as the U.S. special envoy to the Horn of Africa.

U.S. Ambassador to Turkey David Michael Satterfield was hosted at the ruling party office on Sept. 25.       

The newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Turkey, David Satterfield, arrived in Ankara on July 10.     

The Embassy of the United States in Ankara announced that the U.S. Senate on late June 27 confirmed David Satterfield to be the next U.S. ambassador to Turkey.
