June 1 is one of our favorite holidays precisely because it is the day when we celebrate the carefree attitude and freedom and at least for a while we are transported to the magical world of children. International Children's Day in Bulgaria is traditionally full of fun, smiles, colorful balloons and treats.

Turkish children are not the only ones celebrating Children's Day in Turkey on April 23, which Mustafa Kemal Atatürk dedicated to all children of the world, but also children from Syria and different nationalities, who came to Turkey fleeing wars in their countries, also enjoy this day.

International Children's Day is a public holiday observed in some countries on 1 June.

The origin of this holiday goes back to 1925 when representatives from different countries met in Geneva, Switzerland to convene the first "World Conference for the Wellbeing of Children".

On June 1st, we celebrate the International Children's Day. The celebration dates back to the World Conference on Child Health, held in Geneva in 1925.
 

Turkey will observe National Sovereignty and Children's Day on April 23 to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Parliament.
