Bulgarian Farmers Rally Anew for Aid Amidst Ongoing Protests
Animal farmers and greenhouse growers in Bulgaria are set to stage a renewed series of protests on November 30, commencing at 10:30 a.m. outside the Ministry of Agriculture and Food in Sofia.
Business Minister: More than 14,000 business plans entered in Start-Up Nation 2018 program as of Jan 16
As many as 14,000 business plans had been entered in the Start-Up Nation 2018 application by Wednesday, Minister for the Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship Stefan-Radu Oprea told a press conference.
"Up until now we have over 14,000 business plans in the system and over 20,000 registered users," Oprea said.

Rose Producers in Bulgaria Received nearly BGN 2 Million of State Aid
The rose growers received nearly BGN 2 million (BGN 1 921 520) under the "de minimis" state aid scheme, the State Fund for Agriculture announced on Tuesday.
Subsidies have been transferred to 852 farmers. Assistance is provided on an area to cover part of the cost of cultivating the oil-bearing rose.
Bulgarian Beekeepers to Receive BGN 3.5 M in Aid under "de minimis"
Around 5000 Bulgarian beekeepers will receive a total of BGN 3.5 M under the "de minimis" aid scheme, according to an announcement of the State Fund Agriculture.
Under the same scheme, livestock farmers have already been paid over BGN 20 M and by August 14 another 230 farmers will get BGN 600 000, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Radio.
