Missing money is the reason for the 14-year-old girl from Varna to be beaten by her father. On March 1, between the 45-year-old Hristo Hristov and his daughter a scandal broke out about a missing sum of money, then the man had begun to beat the child. She is currently in a hospital with bodily injuries after the beatings.

512 000 Russian Tourists Visited Bulgaria in 2018

The tourist business in Bulgaria relies on bilateral political support from the highest level to attract Russian tourists to Bulgaria. Data from the Ministry of Tourism indicate that early registrations of Russian tourists this year have decreased by 25%.

Last year, 512,000 Russian tourists visited Bulgaria, placing them in sixth place among foreigners.

Bulgarian Mountain Rescue Services: Two Hikers Rescued after Getting Lost in Beli Iskar River Valley

Mountain rescuers have helped two hikers in the Beli Iskar River valley, the Mountain Rescue Service with the Bulgarian Red Cross) told Focus News Agency. The hikers were on their way to Musala hut on Saturday night into Sunday when they strayed from their path in the fog and got into the valley along the Beli Iskar River. They spend the night there.

40-year-old Woman from Varna Died after a Brutal Beating Inflicted by her Husband

A 40-year-old woman was murdered by her husband. The murder happened in a private home in the center of Varna, the Varna police said. The woman's body was found on Monday, February 25th, afternoon. Nearly 70 children from Varna High School were poisoned on two consecutive days at the same place  where they were celebrating a Christmas party, reported the Bulgarian National Television. 

They are already well and the Regional Health Inspection has appointed inspections.

The results of the research are expected tomorrow.

Bulgaria's Varna Opens Tender For Supply of Vehicle Repatriation Trucks

Bulgaria's Varna municipality has opened a tender for supply of three specialised trucks for the repatriation of vehicles, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Monday, quoted by See News. 

The Varna authorities intend to use part of the proceeds of a loan from the EBRD to finance the contract, the bank said in a notice.
