Turkish authorities have detained 31 suspects in a series of operations against ISIL, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on June 24.

With Turkish authorities escalating their pressure on ISIL after the deadly church attack in Istanbul on Jan. 28, the intelligence and security forces have dealt a blow to the terrorist organization's so-called Khorasan structure.

The Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has captured Abdullah al-Jundi, an ISIL ringleader who was preparing an attack against Turkish security forces in the Euphrates Shield and Olive Branch Operation areas.

Police have detained a total of 74 suspects in a simultaneous operation carried out in 23 provinces against ISIL in collaboration with the National Intelligence Organization (MİT).

The so-called high-rank commander and the provincial communications head of ISIL have been arrested in the Central Anatolian province of Kırşehir, İhlas News Agency has reported.

"The two ISIL suspects were detained in a simultaneous operation held by the security forces in the province," the agency reported on Oct. 29.

Police have busted some houses that ISIL terrorists had converted into so-called "sharia education centers" in the capital Ankara within the scope of simultaneous operations and detained some 17 terrorists.

During the operations, the provincial counterterrorism team seized piles of digital materials and banned publications with propaganda content.

Two suspects arrested in a Turkish operation were remanded in custody on June 15 over their alleged links to the ISIL, according to judicial sources.

At least four foreign nationals have been detained in northwestern Sakarya province over their suspected links to the ISIL terrorist group, state-run Anadolu Agency said on March 2.

The local prosecutors investing the ISIL's terrorist activities requested the arrest of four Iraqi nationals over their suspected links to the ISIL, the agency cited anonymous sources as saying.

Police detained 13 suspects, including 10 foreign nationals, over suspected links to the ISIL terror group in Istanbul, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Feb. 25.

Police raided seven different locations and detained 13 suspects, including nine Syrians and an Iraqi national, according to sources cited by Anadolu Agency.
