Yemeksepeti co-founder steps down as CEO
Nevzat Aydın, the co-founder and CEO of Turkish online food delivery application Yemeksepeti, announced yesterday that he is stepping down after staying at the helm of the company for two decades.
"It's now time to leave my post as CEO at Yemeksepeti to a young and new viewpoint," he said on Twitter, adding that he will spend more time with his family and focus on philanthropy.

Competition board launches probe against Turkish firms for artificially lowering wages
The Turkish Competition Authority has concluded a preliminary inquiry into practices of 32 prominent firms, mostly operating in delivery and food sectors, that allegedly act together to keep wages lower, according to a statement released on April 19.
German firm buys Greece's Deliveras
German firm Delivery Hero on Monday purchased 100 percent of Greek food delivery platform Deliveras.gr, the former announced upon publishing its 2017 financial results.
This is the third such website that the German company has acquired in Greece, following e-food.gr and clickdelivery.gr.

German food delivery firm Delivery Hero, which also owns Turkey's leading food ordering giant Yemeksepeti, successfully dipped its first toe into the Frankfurt stock market on June 30, in an initial public offering highly anticipated by investors.

Delivery Hero buys out Turkey's food ordering firm Yemeksepeti for $589 million
Delivery Hero, the Germany-based online food ordering giant, has acquired Turkey?s Yemeksepeti, the leading local firm in the business, for $589 million, the companies announced on May 5.
Yemeksepeti CEO Nevzat Ayd?n told Hürriyet that he will remain in his post as he will also be part of the management team of Delivery Hero.
