Turkish business, art and sport representatives launch solidarity campaign against terror

Leading business, art and sport representatives from Turkey have launched a civil society movement against recent terror attacks in a bid to boost the public's morale and maintain Turkey and Istanbul's brand value, calling on people to continue living their lives outside.

'Winter Sleep' to be shown in Russia

Internationally acclaimed Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan's film "K?? Uykusu" (Winter Sleep) is set to be screened in Russia at a festival bringing together the modern adaptations of writer Anton Chekhov's works.

During the event, members of the public will also be able to come together with foreign and Russian cinema artists.

Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s latest film “Kış Uykusu” (Winter Sleep), which won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival on May 24 and was released in Turkish movie theaters on June 13, drew over 237,000 viewers in its first month, becoming Ceylan’s most-watched film, according to the Turkish Box Office.
