Princes William and Harry on May 20 hit out at the BBC and journalist Martin Bashir over "the deceitful way" Bashir obtained his explosive TV interview with Princess Diana, their late mother, in which she detailed her troubled marriage to Prince Charles.

British journalist Martin Bashir, who is being investigated over how he obtained an explosive 1995 interview with Princess Diana, is stepping down from his role as the BBC's religion editor, the corporation said on May 14. 

Bulgaria's Parliament on May 20 elected Diana Kovacheva as national ombudsman with 173 votes in favour, none against and three abstentions.

She was the only candidate for the post and has been in office since September, after former national ombudsperson Maya Manolova resigned in order to run in the local government elections.

Former MI6 member Richard Tomlinson claims that Slobodan Milosevic was the target of the British intelligence, which developed a special plan for the purpose.

According to Vecernje Novosti, this plan was later applied to remove British Princess Diana.

Fans and friends of Diana, princess of Wales were to mark the 20th anniversary of her death on Aug. 31 as well-wishers lit candles and paid their respects at the sombre scene of her fatal car crash.

It was a typical phone call between two boys and their mother, who was on vacation in France. It was brief - the boys wanted to get back to playing with their cousins, not spend time on the phone chatting.

The brevity of that 1997 call haunts Prince William and Prince Harry to this day - for their mother, Princess Diana, would die in a car crash that night.

Stoyanka Mutafova is the first Bulgarian actress to receive a honorable mention certificate from the Diana Memorial Fund. She will be noted for her exceptional contribution to the theater art.

Among the other honorable award winners are Sean Connery, Peter O' Toole and Lynn Redgrave.

Details of Princess Diana’s will were revealed this week after almost 18 years since her accidental death at the age of 36.
