Argentina bids final farewell to favorite son Maradona
Huge crowds bade a grief-filled adieu on Nov. 26 to Argentina's favorite son Diego Maradona before he was buried on the outskirts of the capital after a farewell that at times descended into chaos.
As darkness fell, the football legend was laid to rest after a ceremony attended by family and close friends in the leafy surrounds of the Bella Vista cemetery outside Buenos Aires.

He had just turned 60 recently.
The news comes from Argentina, a cold shower for the world of football. Diego Armando Maradona, who had turned 60 on 30th of October has passed away.
A cardiac arrest was fatal for him in his home in Tigre, a neighborhood in Buenos Aires, where he had retired two weeks ago after a brain operation.

Maradona to run for FIFA presidency: Report
Argentine soccer great Diego Maradona has decided to stand as a candidate for the FIFA presidency to replace Sepp Blatter, Uruguayan journalist and author Victor Hugo Morales has said.
Morales said Maradona had told him of his intention when he called the former coach of the Argentina national team to check on the condition of his sick father on June 21.
