Two separate World Health Organization expert panels have declared the sweetener aspartame a "possible carcinogen". However, it remains safe to consume within the recommended levels already established.

The Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) on Tuesday warned consumers to avoid certain supermarket products after claims on an anarchist website that they had intentionally been contaminated with hydrochloric acid.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has launched the opening of a Coca-Cola factory in the western province of Isparta. 

But "Coca-Cola" was insistently and sedulously not given a place in any official statement from the presidency, media or the social media accounts of the government. 

Instead, "Fruit Juice" was brought to the fore. 

But why is that? 

Tahera Ahmad, aged 31, was denied an unopened can of diet coke aboard her United Airlines flight from Chicago to Washington just after an unopened can was handed to another passenger. Ahmad, director of interfaith engagement and associate chaplain at Northwestern University,  was told that the refusal to hand her a coke was so that she wouldn’t “use it as a weapon.”
