Automated property tax rates

The government is launching an automated system for calculating the taxable property rates (known as "objective values") throughout the country, aiming to have it operational within 2025 and adjusted according to developments in the real estate market.

Digitized Parliament archives open to all in September

Another 139 land registry offices are shut down

The Hellenic Land Registry has decided to close 139 offices across the country, with their services transferred to the nearest branch or office of the registry. Less than 26 mortgage offices remain to be closed. The challenge is to ensure their smooth integration, as some 150,000 pending cases have also been "transferred."

People have experienced the benefit from the digitization of state services in their daily lives. No reason has been presented for anyone to be suspicious of the completion of this great reform. 

Digital speed and transparency in the real estate market will ultimately benefit those actors who are now reacting. 

The benefits and the challenge

The widespread irregularities detected thanks to the first implementation of the electronic identity system for properties prove that digitization has already yielded very important results in areas where the state was previously considered incorrigible.
