Following the founding of the Republic, women have shined, assuming pioneering roles in a number of areas. Yet, somehow, diplomacy remained an area women could not break the glass ceiling for a very long time. But this is being visibly changed in recent times.

Dacic pointed to the importance of Jovan Ducic in Serbian and Yugoslav diplomacy and the place that this giant occupies in Serbian literature.

The attraction of a Greek passport is seen as one of the main factors behind the recent rise in demand for the acquisition of properties in this country in exchange for a golden visa, i.e. a five-year residence permit that eventually leads to obtaining a Greek passport.

There is no question of the benefits of having women in high places and in 2000 the United National Security Council adopted a resolution reaffirming the "important role of women in the prevention and resolution of conflicts."
