Nearly Half of Bulgaria’s Pensioners Receive Minimum Pensions
As of the end of September, Bulgaria had a total of 2,047,000 pensioners, with nearly 46% of them receiving the minimum pension, according to data from the National Social Security Institute. Among these, 811,000 pensioners receive the minimum amount of 580.57 leva, which is granted for length of service and age. This group represents 40% of all pensioners in the country.
Child benefit A21 – Application: When the platform opens
The A-21 platform will open at 8 am on Friday (29/11) for new applications for child benefits, the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, and the OPEKA announced
The recipients of the Child Benefit can submit their application on the platform of HICC, or through the website, opeka.gr using their passwords on Taxisnet.

Pension increases, lump-sum financial aid, reductions in deductions, “corrections for injustices,” and other significant changes will be promoted starting from autumn, benefiting large groups of pensioners.
Average monthly income from new pensions rises 5.3% in May
An increase of 5.3% was recorded in the average monthly income from new pensions in May compared to the same month last year, with the amount being 1,014 euros from €963.
According to the Helios report, which captures the monthly flow of new retirements, the increase comes mainly from main pensions.

Pension calculation: Those with minimal wages will not exceed 24K RSD
Beginning January 1, 2023, the retirement limit for women is moving up again, and it will continue moving until 2032 when the limit for women and men should be equalized at 65 years.
Pensions going up by 4.4%
Ljubljana – Pensioners will get 4.4% higher pensions at the end of the month in line with regular annual adjustment with wages and consumer prices. Back rise for January will be paid out as well. The adjustment will cost the Pension and Disability Insurance Institute (ZPIZ) EUR 268 million at the annual level, said ZPIZ official Andraž Rangus after the council endorsed the rise on Wednesday.

How Pension Payments Will Change for 150,000 Bulgarians
154,000 pensioners with smaller pensions because of insurance payed to a private pension fund will be able to ask the National Insurance Institute to recalculate their pensions next year, provided they transfer their money for a second pension to state insurance institution. However, only one-third of people will benefit from it, for the rest the pension received will not be higher.
