Discovery Channel, one of the best-known documentary channels in the world, has begun filming documentaries on history in important places of the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa, particularly Göbeklitepe, which is considered the "zero point of history."

Marticka Bozhilova from "Agitprop" is one of the most successful Bulgarian producers. In the cinema guild, she doesn't need to be introduced. Her signature is under many documentary and docu-fiction productions and co-productions with partners from all over the world, under feature films and under the projects for developing documentary cinema in Bulgaria and Europe.

In its 11th edition, the now-online Ethnographic Film Festival brings 40 fiction and documentary films from around the world that offer glimpses into little-known societies and communities, address hot-button issues - such as Brexit, which is one of the sections, and climate change - push the boundaries of the medium or show us what young filmmakers are up to.

For the second consecutive year the festival for documentaries dedicated to arts, Master of Art will present the premiere for Bulgaria international works between 20 and 30 April and the place is Lumière Cinema.

Among the titles this year are  films dedicated to famous artists such as Claude Mone, Yeronimus Bosh, Picasso, Ian Fleming, Yosif Brodski, Deyvid Linch and many others.

Clocking in at just eight minutes, Yavuz Pullukçu's film, "Latmos Documentary," isn't particularly long, but the 27-year-old İzmirian director is hoping his short film makes a big impact at a Spanish film festival come April to help save the ancient city of Latmos and its surrounding nature.

The National Tourism Authority (ANT) will purchase through direct negotiations a series of co-production services for programmes to be broadcast by the National Geographic TV channel for the promotion of Romania's tourism brand, reveals the website of the institution.
