Ukraine said on Saturday that nine people were killed in the country's Donetsk and Kharkiv regions due to Russian airstrikes.

A statement by the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said that four people were killed and six others injured in the northeastern Kharkiv region, where it claimed Russia attacked settlements in the region's Bohodukhiv, Izium and Kupiansk districts during the day.

Ukraine announced that its forces have retaken three villages in the eastern region of Donetsk, the first reported gains of their new offensive.

But three people were killed and at least another 23 wounded as Russia shelled a rescue boat evacuating civilians from Russian-controlled territory, the Kherson region prosecutors' office said on Sunday.

Russian soldiers most often complain about insufficient equipment and training and a bad command structure.

"Practically the entire city is in the hands of our army. The most important thing is that our forces liberated the AZOM industrial zone a long time ago - this was the last difficult border. The head of the Russian mercenary group Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, published a video in which he claims to know about the Ukrainian plan, the aim of which is to "strike three blows".
At the same time, he states that Ukraine has grouped 200,000 soldiers in Donbas, out of which 80,000 are near Bakhmut.

"The pace of Russian offensive operations across the battlefield has slowed in recent weeks, suggesting that Russia's spring offensive in the Donbass may be nearing its culmination," the report said.
