Turkish, Italian defense ministers discuss security issues
Turkey's Defense Minister Hulusi Akar discussed with his Italian counterpart on July 13, bilateral and regional security issues and the latest developments in Afghanistan, Libya and the Eastern Mediterranean, according to the Turkish National Defense Ministry.
The meeting between Akar and Lorenzo Guerini in Istanbul was constructive and positive, it said.
Turkey-Azerbaijan mulls cooperation in defense industry
Among the new cooperation projects in the field of the defense industry between Turkey and Azerbaijan are unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UAVs), which have proven their capabilities after being used in several recent regional conflicts such as the Nagorno-Karabakh war.
Turkish, US defense chiefs discuss security
The Turkish defense minister on June 19 discussed bilateral security and regional issues with his U.S. counterpart over the phone.
According to Turkey's Defense Ministry, Hulusi Akar and Lloyd James Austin had "a positive and constructive" conversation.
The exchange comes days after a NATO summit in Brussels on June 14.

Ukraine wants to double trade volume with Turkey:
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on April 16 that Turkey and Ukraine have a trade turnover of $ 5.5 billion and "we want to double it."
Ukraine has "a good relations with Turkey today," Zelensky said in an exclusive interview with French daily newspaper Le Figaro when asked about his recent visit to Turkey and meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Turkish defense minister holds talks with British counterpart

Russia and Turkey are preparing a bilateral agreement for cooperation in the space industry, according to the Russian space agency on Feb. 10.
