Drug users increasingly turning to cannabis, cocaine
An increasing number of drug users in Greece are turning to cannabis and cocaine, according to the report of the Greek Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals (KETHEA) for 2022, a year in which the number of users rose again due to the decline of the pandemic.

Safe facility for drug users saves over 120 lives
Marking a year since the opening of Greece's first drug consumption room (DCR), a facility where addicts can use safely in a supervised environment, the Organization Against Drugs (OKANA) on Thursday said that more than 120 lives have been saved thanks to the initiative.

Finnish PM takes drug test after partying scandal
Finland's prime minister said on Aug. 19 she had taken a drug test and reiterated she had never taken narcotics, after a video of the 36-year-old partying sparked criticism.

Nearly 300,000 Bulgarians regularly abuse Alcohol or Drugs
Between 200,000 and 300,000 Bulgarians are chronically addicted to alcohol or drugs. Many abuse experimentally. There are also no accurate statistics for abusers of psychoactive substances, with drugs that are legally prescribed.
