Roman-era sewage system discovered in western Turkey
The archaeological excavations carried out in the ancient city of Tripolis in the western province of Denizli's Buldan district have unearthed a 2,000-year-old Roman-era sewer system, which is 160 centimeters in height and 70 centimeters in width.
Prominent journalist Selahattin Duman dies at 71
Selahattin Duman, a prominent journalist and a well-known figure in the Turkish press, has passed away at the age of 71.
Having been treated in intensive care unit for 19 days as a result of a traffic accident he had last year, Duman had been struggling with health problems since then.

Turkish engineers trained in Russia take jobs at country’s first nuclear plant
With preparation ongoing to commission the first reactor for the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in southern Mersin province in 2023, Turkish engineers, who received their training in Russia for more than six years, have started to work at the power plant.
While 35 graduates out of 50 Turkish engineers started their duties, 43 more graduates are expected to be employed this year.
Fire ravages village in northeastern province
A fire broke out in a village in the northeastern province of Artvin, damaging at least 60 houses and killing 35 livestock, the local governor's office said on March 17.
In a statement, the Artvin Governor's Office said the fire erupted in the Dereiçi village of Yusufeli district.
