Health authorities have urged the young, elderly and those with breathing problems to limit their time outside.
Huge dust clouds have reduced visibility in large parts of Greece, including the capital Athens.

Saharan dust registers highest levels in a decade
The Athens Observatory said on Friday that one of the largest ever transfers of desert sand to Greece from the Sahara in North Africa took place on Thursday.
According to satellite images, dust levels in the atmosphere were especially high in the southern part of the country.

Apple's technology giant Apple is working on a new MacBook laptop keyboard that will be protected against dust, crumbs and other microscopic particles. A prototype of the product is now patented, Mashable reports.
Creating a keypad that prevents the penetration of dust particles between the buttons will eliminate the need for the users themselves to take time to clean the keyboard.
