Bulgaria to Observe Daylight Saving Time Change on Election Day
On October 27, election day in Bulgaria, clocks will be set back one hour as the country transitions to winter time. This means that voters will enjoy an extra hour of sleep on that day.
While smartphones, tablets, and computers will automatically adjust to the new time, some devices may require manual changes.

During the holiday period leading up to New Year and Epiphany, Athens metro and tram lines will operate on a modified timetable with reduced services. All rail services will conclude by 11 p.m. on New Year's Eve.

Athens’ festive season store opening hours announced
The proposed opening hours of stores in Athens for the 2023 Christmas holidays were announced this week by the Trade Association of Athens.
Starting on December 12, the association proposes that stores stay open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.
Shops will be also open on Sundays, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., on December 17, 24 and 31.
Cap on Acropolis visitor numbers comes into effect
A new scheme was launched on Monday at the Acropolis site in Athens to avoid overcrowding and to protect the monuments. From this point on, the daily cap on visitors will be 20,000.
