Schools closing again on Monday in two regions after infections increased
Ljubljana – The Ministry of Education has notified schools in Zasavje and Obalno-Kraška regions that schools and kindergartens will have to close once again on Monday. The decision comes only two days after pupils of the first three grades and kindergartners were allowed back in nine of Slovenia’s 12 administrative regions after more than three months.

He pointed out that he would demand the strictest punishment for the perpetrators of abuse and for the preschool institution.
Gak told RTS that the extraordinary control of the work of the kindergarten was partially carried out yesterday, which was interrupted due to the worsening of the health condition of the director of the kindergarten.
Kindergartens, primary schools reopen
Kindergartens, primary schools and special education schools reopened Monday despite a nationwide lockdown in place until January 18.
Safety protocols include wearing masks indoors and outdoors (masks are optional for kindergarten pupils), making sure there is good ventilation and a staggered hours scheme to reduce congestion as parents drop off and pick up their children.

Teachers tested for Covid as some schools reopen
A teacher at a primary school in Thessaloniki, northern Greece is tested for coronavirus by a team from the National Public Health Organization (EODY) on Saturday. Kindergartens, primary schools and special education schools are scheduled to reopen Monday despite the extension of the nationwide lockdown through January 18.

Lockdown extended for a week, to Jan. 18
Greece will remain on lockdown until Monday, January 18, Deputy Minister for Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias announced Friday.
The only change is the opening of kindergartens, nurseries and elementary schools on Jan. 11.
This means retail stores and hairdressers stay closed.

The Education Ministry confirmed on Thursday that kindergartens, elementary schools and special education schools will reopen on January 11.
Meanwhile, middle and high schools will resume online classes on Friday.
