Lights out on Acropolis for Earth Hour
The lights on the Acropolis, Presidential Mansion, Parliament and other public buildings were switched off on Saturday evening to mark Earth Hour.
Organised by WWF, this year's event was dedicated to the forest, after the hottest year on record worldwide and the destruction of 120,000 hectares of woodland in Greece in last summer's fires.

Lights out on Lycabettus for Earth Hour
The lights will be switched off on the capital's Lycabettus Hill and at Athens City Hall on Saturday between 8.30 and 9.30 p.m. as the Greek capital celebrates Earth Hour, along with another 79 countries and 7,000 cities.
Earth Hour was established in 2007 to raise awareness about the climate and the environment.

'Earth Hour" marked in the Capital City; Presidency, Gov't, Parliament to switch the light off
Several public institutions in the Capital City Bucharest, as well as organizations are marking on Saturday the "Earth Hour."
* The Presidential Administration joins the "Earth Hour" campaign for the fourth consecutive year.
In this respect, on Saturday, between 20.30 and 21.30 EET, the lights at the Cotroceni Palace will be switched off, informs the Presidency.

The Empire State Building dimmed its lights and the Eiffel Tower went dark March 28 as iconic landmarks across the world observed Earth Hour, the global climate change awareness campaign.
The usually glittering nighttime majesty of the Empire State Building was set to "faint sparkle" in New York, while theaters on Broadway also toned down the neon.
