Today it will continue to rain in many places, in Eastern Bulgaria the quantities will be significant, in the southeastern regions there will thunder. After noon from the west the precipitation will weaken and stop, in the evening over some areas the clouds will break.
Fifty-two People Injured in Tokyo Earthquake
The number of people injured in the earthquake that struck Japan's capital Tokyo and surrounding areas on Thursday has risen to 52, the Fire and Disaster Management Agency (FDMA) the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said on Friday.

Three Scientists Share Nobel Prize in Physics
The 2021 Nobel Prize for physics has been shared between scientists working on models to predict global warming and the interplay of planetary systems.
One half of the prize is split between Syukuro Manabe and Klaus Hasselmann for their work in the 'physical modelling of Earth's climate, quantifying variability and reliably predicting global warming.'

Two Earthquakes were Registered this Morning in Bulgaria
Two earthquakes were registered this morning in Bulgaria, the seismologist on duty Petar Kirilov told bTV
The first was in Haskovo - 2.4 on the Richter scale, at 4:25 AM
The second had a magnitude of 2.9 on the Richter scale and was detected in Sofia - Gorna Banya district at 4:42 AM
Both earthquakes are weak to have aftershocks, Kirilov said

Today it will be sunny over most of the country. This was announced for FOCUS News Agency by the weather forecaster on duty Evgenia Egova from the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH).
Lake in Turkey’s south completely dries up
Lake Avlan, a major lake in Turkey's Mediterranean province of Antalya, has completely dried out due to the effects of global warming and irresponsible agricultural irrigation.
Lack of rainfall and irresponsible agricultural irrigation has turned the freshwater lake of 850 hectares in the province of Antalya's Elmalı district into a desert.

Crete after Earthquake: One Man Killed, 20 Injured
Around nine aftershocks hit moments later, with the strongest one registering a magnitude of 4.6. Local authorities reported a man was crushed when a church dome in the town of Arkalochori collapsed. They said that he had been renovating the church when the earthquake rattled the island.
