EU funding up to €80 mln for Greek ammo
As part of the moves to strengthen the European defense industry, based on the increased need for defense equipment resulting from the war in Ukraine, Hellenic Defense Systems (EAS) will, sources say, receive €60-80 million in funding from the European Defense Fund to increase production of 155mm projectiles.

Greece's state assets fund appointed Polychronis Griveas and Elias Athanasiou as the new president and CEO, respectively, of troubled state-owned Hellenic Post (ELTA), during Thursday's general meeting.
Griveas previously headed the management of Astir Palace Vouliagmeni and Athanasiou was CEO of Enterprise Greece, the state-owned body that promotes Greek exports.

Prosecutor orders probe into fire at recycling plant
An Athens prosecutor on Tuesday ordered an emergency probe into the causes of a fire at a recycling plant in Aspropyrgos, southwest of Athens, which covered the Greek capital and the port city of Piraeus in noxious fumes from melting plastic and other packaging material for the fourth day on Tuesday.
