Annual inflation rate at 17.53 pct in June
Turkey posted a 17.53 percent annual hike in consumer prices in June, the country's statistical authority said on July 5.
Annual inflation rose 0.94 percentage points last month, up from 16.59 percent in May, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).

Managers' short-term forecast: Activity rise expected in construction, retail, services over June - August

Turkey’s budget balance posts $772 mln surplus in Jan-April
Turkey's central government's budget balance saw a 5.9 billion Turkish liras ($772 million) surplus in January-April, the Treasury and Finance Ministry announced on May 17.
The figure improved from a 72.8 billion Turkish lira (some $11.6 billion) deficit in the same period last year.
Private sector foreign debt down in March
Outstanding short- and long-term debts of Turkey's private sector declined in March, the Turkish Central Bank said on May 17.
The total foreign debt of private sector saw $170.2 billion as of March, falling by $3.5 billion.

Central government gross debt stock hits $249 bln
The Turkish central government's gross debt stock totaled 1.85 trillion Turkish liras (around $249 billion) at the end of February, according to new official figures.
The figure was up 32% from the same month last year, according to data from the Treasury and Finance Ministry on March 22.

Economists expect rise in Turkey's February inflation
Turkey's annual inflation rate is projected to rise to 15.45% in February, an Anadolu Agency survey found on Feb. 26.
Turkey's annual inflation rate in January was 14.97%, up 0.37 percentage points from the previous month.
The Turkish Statistical Institute will announce February's consumer prices index on March 3 Wednesday.
Central government gross debt stock at $243 bln
The Turkish central government's gross debt stock totaled 1.8 trillion Turkish liras (around $243 billion) as of the end of 2020, said new official figures.
The figure was down 3.2% from the same period in the previous year, according to data from the Treasury and Finance Ministry on Jan. 20.

Budget balance posts $19 bln deficit in Jan-Nov
The Turkish central government posted a budget deficit of 132.5 billion Turkish liras ($19 billion) in January-November, the Treasury and Finance Ministry said on Dec. 15.
The data showed that reading widened 42.1 percent compared to the same period last year.

Turkish government’s gross debt stock at $229 bln
The gross debt stock of Turkey's central government stood at 1.6 trillion Turkish liras (around $229 billion) at the end of April, according to official figures released on May 20.
The figure was 30% higher than the same month last year, the Treasury and Finance Ministry announced.
