Greek growth stays above EU average

The European Commission sees Greece's economic growth at 2.4% in 2023 and 2.2% until 2025, above the eurozone and EU average, in its fall economic forecasts released on Wednesday, pointing out that this growth is supported by the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Plan and a resilient labor market.

Serbia registers 13.4 bln dinar budget deficit in January-September

BELGRADE - Serbia registered a 13.4 bln dinar budget deficit between January and September, which is 115.4 bln dinars better than the planned 128.8 bln deficit, the Ministry of Finance has said.

Revenues totalled 1,372.6 bln dinars, while expenditures amounted to 1,386.0 bln dinars.

A 44.9 bln dinar deficit was registered in September, the ministry said in a statement.

Serbian parliament passes 2024 budget bill

BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament passed the 2024 budget bill on Thursday.

Under the bill, budget revenues will total 2,040.9 bln dinars and expenditures will amount to 2,238 bln dinars.

One hundred and forty-five of 189 MPs in attendance voted in favour of the bill and 31 voted against, there were no abstentions and 13 MPs did not take part in the vote.

Serbian August average net monthly wage at 86,112 dinars

BELGRADE - The Serbian average net monthly wage in August was 86,112 dinars, according to figures released by the national statistical office RZS.

The average gross wage was 118,918 dinars.

Average gross and net wages between January and August were up by 15.2 pct y-o-y in nominal terms and by 0.7 pct y-o-y in real terms.

Serbian July average net monthly wage at 83,781 dinars

BELGRADE - The Serbian average net monthly wage in July was 83,781 dinars, according to figures released by the national statistical office RZS.

The average gross wage was 115,664 dinars.

Average gross and net wages in January-July were up by 15.3 pct y-o-y in nominal terms and by 0.3 pct y-o-y in real terms.
